Large metal sheets are thin and easily bent, and even with two people carrying one, it can still bump into machinery or scrape the floor. Since the sheet surface is already finished, a single scratch means redoing the work.

FullSharp installs a pneumatic jib crane and hangs a vacuum lifting pad right at the pickup point. The vacuum pump holds the sheet with rubber suction cups, a pneumatic cylinder lifts it, and the swing arm moves it to the machine table. Because the sheet is lifted straight up, it never scrapes against anything.

Equipment Installed

  • Column mount: the swing arm attaches to the factory column, saving floor space and requiring no separate foundation.
  • Vacuum lifting pad: a frame fitted with multiple rubber suction cups, spreading the holding force evenly across the sheet.
  • Pneumatic lifting unit: a cylinder raises and lowers the sheet via a lever, moving slowly and evenly when setting it down on the machine table.
  • Gauge and safety valve: monitors vacuum level, so if air pressure is lost the sheet is still held rather than dropped.

Precise sheet placement

The swing arm holds the sheet at the correct table height. The operator only needs to fine-tune the last few centimeters.
