Pneumatic Jib Crane with Copper Coil Clamp

Copper wire coils are heavy and slippery, so carrying them by hand risks dropping them and scratching the enamel insulation. Dozens of coils must be moved between storage, winding machines, and assembly benches each shift, quickly tiring workers.

FullSharp installs a pneumatic jib crane with a dedicated gripper for copper wire coils. The pneumatic gripper clamps around the coil's bore or body and holds it firmly throughout the move. The operator simply swings the arm to the right position and releases the clamp.

Equipment Installed

Post and swing arm: the arm rotates around the post to cover the full working area and stays fixed at any position.
Copper coil gripper: soft-padded jaws open and close pneumatically, holding the coil without pressing on the enamel coating.
Pneumatic balancer unit: carries the weight of the coil, so the operator raises and lowers it with the handle almost effortlessly.
Safety valve: holds pressure in the cylinder if air supply is lost, so the coil does not drop suddenly.
