Copper wire coils are heavy and slippery, so carrying them by hand risks dropping them and scratching the enamel insulation. Dozens of coils must be moved between storage, winding machines, and assembly benches each shift, quickly tiring workers.
FullSharp installs a pneumatic jib crane with a dedicated gripper for copper wire coils. The pneumatic gripper clamps around the coil's bore or body and holds it firmly throughout the move. The operator simply swings the arm to the right position and releases the clamp.
Pneumatic jib crane with a copper coil gripper, installed at the customer's motor production area.
Soft-padded jaws and steady air-pressure clamping force keep coils from scratches or deformation.
The crane carries the weight, leaving only guidance to the operator. Fewer workers are needed per shift.
Coil transfer time between stations becomes consistent. Winding machines wait less for material.
FullSharp visits your site to measure the diameter, width, and weight of the coils, and to review the distance coils travel per shift. Based on this, we design jaws that match the coil profile and select the right reach for the swing arm. Schedule a site survey with FullSharp anytime.
