Copper wire coils are heavy, yet the outer winding scratches easily — hook it in the wrong spot and the whole coil gets rejected. Manual handling is tiring and makes it hard to center the coil on the machine shaft, especially when coils have to be swapped several times per shift.

FullSharp installs a pneumatic jib crane controlled by a force-sensing handle, fitted with a hook tool custom-made for copper wire coils. The hook slides through the core and lifts evenly on both sides, so a gentle push from the operator guides the coil straight onto the shaft.

Pneumatic Jib Crane with Hook Tool for Lifting Copper Wire Coils

Pneumatic jib crane with a dedicated hook tool lifting a copper wire coil at a factory.

Installed Equipment

  • Coil hook tool: slides through the coil core and supports it evenly, without pressing on the outer winding.
  • Force-sensing handle: the coil follows the operator's hand movement, so it lines up with the shaft center quickly.
  • Pneumatic jib arm: rotates around the column to connect the storage area to the machine, instead of dragging the coil across the floor.
  • Load-holding mechanism: the coil stays in place when the handle is released, freeing the operator's hands to align the shaft.

Benefits for Your Facility

No Scratches on the Winding

The hook supports the coil from the core, so the surface stays intact and rejects drop.

Faster Coil Changeovers

The coil lands on the shaft center on the first try, so the machine waits less.

Less Strain on Workers

Compressed air carries the coil's weight, leaving the operator to guide direction and position.
