A 200 liter drum of oil, chemicals or food ingredients weighs 200 to 300kg. Rolling drums by hand risks tipping and leaks, and drums cannot be raised onto pallets, racks or mixing tanks this way. It is one of the most accident-prone jobs in warehouses and workshops.

FullSharp supplies several types of drum handling equipment by application: electric drum lifters for moving and palletizing, rotating grippers for pouring, hand trucks for short distances, and mini cranes or jib cranes for heavy drums. All of them need only one operator.

FullSharp equipment for lifting drums

  • Electric drum lifter: clamps the drum body and lifts up to 1.6m, with tilting models for pouring, suitable for cleanrooms and chemical stores. See smart electric lifters.
  • 90 degree rotating drum gripper: mounts on a crane or manipulator, grips the drum rim and rotates to pour into a tank, with pneumatic control of pouring speed. See Pneumatic jib crane.
  • Mini crane with drum gripper: mobile electric crane that lifts drums onto trucks or high tanks without installing a fixed crane. See Mini crane.

The drum stays upright while moving and tilts only when the operator deliberately rotates it to pour.

The pneumatic rotating tool allows slow pouring and stopping midway, with no splashing of chemicals or oil.

Can plastic drums be gripped?

Yes. The jaws have rubber pads and limited clamping force, suitable for steel drums, plastic drums and open-top drums.

What should I choose to pour drums into a 2m high tank?

Use an electric drum lifter with tilting gripper or a crane with a rotating tool. FullSharp determines the lift height and rotation radius from the actual tank.

Can it be used in chemical stores and explosion-proof areas?

Fully pneumatic models with no electricity are available for areas requiring explosion protection.
