Rolls of paper, fabric, plastic film, aluminum, steel coil and electrical cable weigh from 30kg to more than 1 tonne. Rolling or carrying them by hand damages the roll edges, loading them off-center onto the machine shaft causes downtime, and a rolling roll is an accident risk.

FullSharp has built hundreds of roll handling units for printing, packaging, textile, electronics and engineering plants. Depending on how the roll is picked from the pallet and fed to the machine, the equipment grips the inner core, clamps the outer surface or supports the roll from below, and can turn the roll from vertical to horizontal and back. All of them need only one operator.
