Thin stainless steel and metal sheets are slippery, easy to lose grip on, and can cut into skin. On job sites, power and air compressors are often unavailable. Workers need a hand tool that can lift a sheet and hold it securely.

The mechanical vacuum lifting pad runs on hand power alone. Place the suction cup on the sheet, pump or flip the lever to draw out the air, and the lock valve holds the vacuum throughout the lift. A pressure gauge shows when to pump again.
