Column-Mounted Pneumatic Manipulator for Drill

Large concrete drills are heavy and vibrate strongly, forcing the operator to use both arms to hold the drill steady at the exact point. Working continuously numbs the hands, the drill bit tends to wander off-center, and in a steel plant, drilling overhead or sideways makes it even harder to keep the drill steady.

FullSharp builds a column-mounted pneumatic manipulator to carry the full weight of the Hitachi drill. The operator only pushes the drill into position and drills; the arm rotates 360 degrees around the column and adjusts in height, so it can work at multiple points without being reinstalled.

Equipment Installed

Load-bearing column: fixed permanently at the work area, withstanding vibration and push force during drilling.
360-degree rotating arm: swings fully around the column to cover multiple drilling points without moving the base.
Pneumatic assist unit: holds the drill suspended in air, staying steady at the drilling position even when the operator lets go.
Drill mounting bracket: grips the drill body securely and can be detached when the drill is needed elsewhere.
Height adjustment mechanism: raises and lowers the drill to match the drilling point, with no need for a platform or temporary scaffolding.
