This customer has a dedicated welding room with white panel walls, an epoxy floor and a perforated fixture welding table in the middle. Parts going onto the table weigh from a few dozen kilos up to nearly two hundred, and used to take two people to carry or a wait for the forklift. They wanted a lifting solution right inside the room, but without running new power cables into an area full of welding sparks.

FullSharp installed an in-stock pneumatic jib crane rated at 200 kg. The yellow steel column is bolted to the floor in a corner of the room and was cut to the exact ceiling height, so the boom sits just under the ceiling frame without touching the lights. The aluminum boom reaches across the whole welding table, and the 200 kg rating is marked on it.

Everything runs on compressed air taken from the plant's existing air line. The filter regulator is mounted on the column, the air hose runs along the boom on hanging loops and drops to the pneumatic hoist through a coiled section. The welder stands at the table, pulls the hook to the part, lifts it, swings the boom and sets it down exactly on the fixture, all by one person.
