Extension arm pneumatic balancer

The Knight Global KEAA2000 and KEAA2500 extension arm pneumatic balancer series lets operators reach beyond the working envelope of the overhead rail system within a workstation. An air balancer is mounted on the extension arm to provide controlled lifting and lowering of the load.

The KEAA2000 and KEAA2500 travel inside Knight Global RAD4110, RAD6110 or RAD7510 aluminum rail systems. Two main versions are available:

KEAA2500 - Single Bridge: suited to light and medium duty applications, with a compact, lightweight structure.
KEAA2000 - Dual Bridge: higher load capacity and greater stability when handling heavy and offset loads.

When selecting an air balancer, FULLSHARP recommends sizing the working load at 80% of rated capacity to allow for fluctuations in plant air pressure and ensure stable operation. Balancers are rated at a standard pressure of 100 psi [6.8 bar].

Actual lifting capacity formula: Example - plant air 60 psi, 350 lbs balancer, 80% load factor → (60/100) x 350 lbs = 210 lbs x 0.80 = 168 lbs actual working capacity.

Maintenance recommendation: Knight Global recommends a food grade, high pressure, anti-wear penetrating lubricant — Lubriplate® 1241 for wire rope, or SAE 50-90 EP machine/gear oil for load chain.

Capacity and stroke are measured at a standard pressure of 100 psi [6.8 bar]. An actual working capacity of 80% of rated capacity is recommended to compensate for plant air pressure fluctuations.
