Description
VPHF-SERIES HIGH FLOW VACUUM GENERATORS
High flow electric powered vacuum generators for porous applications
Product Overview
Designed only for porous applications where constant vacuum at the pads is required to hold the load – plywood, OSB, particle board, wood bi-product panels, cement board, dry wall and foam core board.
- High capacity pumps, large filters and gauges for demanding production environments
- Sturdy welded frame, ruggedly built for dusty industrial use
- Works with a wide assortment of pad attachments and lifting beams
- Standard pads must be modified for high flow – usually larger vacuum hose, fittings and ports
Note: This series of high flow generators cannot be used on non-porous loads.
Features
Front mounted controls and gauge
Manifold vacuum gauge on the manifold block for continuous monitoring. Control box has a master on/off switch and circuit breaker – 3 phase power required for the large pump motors.
Ergonomic adjustable front handlebar
Large loop handlebar to maneuver the load without touching it. Release needs two hands on the spring loaded levers for safety.
Regenerative pumps
Compact, quiet, vibration-free vacuum from high-strength materials. Little maintenance beyond keeping the filter clean. 3 phase power required – have an electrician wire the correct plugs and cords.
Vacuum relief valve
Easy adjustable VRV protects the pump from dead-head damage by bleeding in a small amount of cooling air. For highly porous loads only.
Vacuum filter
High capacity FLT-3 filter (10 micron, 138 SCFM) mounted on the side of the lifting frame for easy inspection and cleaning.
Frame construction
Fully welded frame rated 2950 lb (1338 kg) for 3″ sq. and 3″ x 6″ beams with mounting hardware – sized for large, bulky porous panels.
Application Examples

Application Notes
No check valve, no vacuum reservoir. Neither would help on a porous load: if the pump stops, air leaks straight through the material under the pads and the load drops. Keep workers well clear of loads at all times.
These lifters are exempt from ANSI specifications because they cannot hold vacuum – air passes through the material.
Separating sheets from a stack
On tight stacks of smooth surfaced porous panels, vacuum pulls through the top sheet into the panels below. To lift a single sheet, break it free first – move it by hand, blow compressed air under it, or take a preliminary lift on one corner.
