The AP Series is a complete compressed air powered vacuum station – whisper-quiet air pump, vacuum reservoir, muffler and all controls on one tank-mounted assembly. It runs on shop air alone, with no electrical supply of any kind at the unit.
What sets it apart is the all-pneumatic energy saver circuitry: the moment the set vacuum level is reached, the circuit shuts off the compressed air supply line. On a non-porous load the station then holds on stored vacuum and consumes nothing until the level drops.
The pump is dry and oil-free, so there is no risk of oil carry-over contaminating the load, and vacuum runs to 27 in. Hg.

Pneumatic energy saver
The circuitry automatically shuts off air consumption once the proper vacuum level is achieved – no electrical controls, no sensors, no wiring.

Dry, oil-free pump
No oil in the air path, so no contamination of the load – important on printed, painted, food-contact or clean-room work.

Generates vacuum levels to 27 in. Hg, among the highest of any air powered station and enough for heavy non-porous loads.
Vacuum reservoir
10, 20 or 30 gallons of stored vacuum, which is what carries the load through a pause in the air supply and what makes the energy saver worthwhile.
No electricity required
Nothing to wire and nothing to earth – the natural fit where no power is available at the workstation or where electricity is unwanted near the process.
Controls Included
Every AP station is supplied with the following controls fitted – there is no separate control kit to specify.
- Slide valve with push-button safety lock for vacuum attach and release
- Adjustable vacuum switch to set the vacuum level at which the air shuts off
- Vacuum gauges, vacuum reservoir and manifolds
- Air regulator with gauge and check valve
- Vacuum line filter
The adjustable vacuum switch is the setting that matters. It decides the level at which the energy saver cuts the air and the level at which it lets the air back in. Set it too high and the pump cycles constantly on a slightly porous load, cancelling out the saving; set it too low and the reserve of holding force is reduced.
Model Range
All three models share the same pump. Every AP station uses the JB20 venturi at 4.5 SCFM of flow for 6.1 SCFM of air consumption. The model number therefore selects reservoir volume, not performance: pick 10, 20 or 30 gallons according to how long the load must be held if the air supply is interrupted, and how much cycling of the energy saver circuit is acceptable. A larger tank simply takes longer to pump down initially.

Flow and consumption are quoted at the optimum operating pressure of 90 psi [6.2 bar]. The available air supply flow (CFM) may affect the pressure needed to reach the optimum vacuum level – a line that cannot deliver 6.1 SCFM at 90 psi will not reach the rated figures.
Where the AP Series Fits
Choose an AP station when…
- There is compressed air but no electricity at the workstation, or electricity is unwanted near the process
- The load is non-porous, so the energy saver can actually shut the air off and hold
- A stored vacuum reserve is wanted – the reservoir is standard here, not an option
- Air cost matters and a continuously running venturi would be wasteful
Look elsewhere when…
- The load is porous and leaks continuously – the air never shuts off, so the saving disappears and a high-flow pump is the better answer
- More than 4.5 SCFM of flow is needed; the AP range has one pump size only
- The station must travel with the lifter – at 50 to 113 lb plus a tank, these are stationary units
- No compressed air is available – an electric or battery station is the fit
The JB20 venturi at the heart of these stations is from the JB Series single-stage vacuum pump range, so the same air-consumption figures and sizing logic apply.
