This is the Manhattan Drill Gripper, a customized mechanical lifting solution for lifting drills. This lifting tool is used for gripping drills of various sizes and weights, moving them from pallet to blaster, and back again. The center of gravity (CoG) on this machine is manually adjustable and its maximum lifting capacity is 13.5 kg.

The drills are gripped while standing upright in a pallet on a trolley. After moving the lifting tool and positioning the clamps around the neck of a drill, you press the green button. The gripper then clamps onto the load. The green eye lights up to signal that it is safe for you to proceed with the lift. If the green eye does not light up, the load has not been gripped correctly and you will not be able to proceed with the lift. While lifting the drill, you can adjust the balance (CoG) of the lifting tool with the black knob on the right handle. This will move the CoG bar on the top of the machine, resulting in a more even weight distribution. After placing the load down at its destination, press the red button to disengage the clamps and release the load.
