Description
SLSA-1 SPRING LOADED VACUUM CUP SUSPENSION ASSEMBLIES
Level compensators with M5 / 10-32 UNF female thread – rotating and non-rotating, 5 to 30 mm travel
Product Overview
ANVER vacuum suction cups can be mounted to most vacuum systems using spring loaded suspension assemblies. These are high quality, well finished assemblies designed for high speed automation applications.
Adjustable bulkhead fittings mount to almost any lifting frame, while a variety of tube fittings connect the assembly to the vacuum generating system. These mounting systems act as extensions while providing support when handling a load.
The SLSA-1 Series connects to a vacuum system via 5 mm / 10-32 UNF female threads. For G 1/8″ male threads, use the SLSA-2 Series instead.
Custom adaptation – these suspensions can be adapted with tube fittings, mini vacuum generators, sensing valves and custom adapters. Contact FULL-SHARP for assistance.
Advantages of Suspension Assemblies
01 – Less machine indexing
Reduces machine indexing when picking material up from a stack.
02 – Height compensation
Compensates for variations in object height and gives a soft touch attach.
03 – Less shock and noise
Minimises shock and noise to both the object and the machine.
04 – Longer cup life
Provides consistent cup pressure on each pick-up, which increases cup life.
05 – Simple interface
An easy way for the vacuum cup and vacuum lines to interface with machine tooling.
06 – Two versions
Rotating and non-rotating, so the cup can either follow the part or stay fixed in orientation.
Materials
| Component | Rotating | Non-rotating |
|---|---|---|
| Suspension tube | Nickel plated steel | Nickel plated steel |
| Springs | Stainless steel | Stainless steel |
| Bulkhead thread | Nickel plated brass | Stainless steel |
| Panel nuts | Nickel plated brass | Stainless steel |
Suspension Assemblies – Group 1 and 2 Fittings
All five mount with the same adjustable aluminium bracket plates. Travel is the spring stroke – pick the travel that covers the height variation in your stack, then check the panel hole and thickness against your tooling plate.
Extension Assemblies – VX Series
Extensions add reach without spring travel – use them where the cup must sit below the tooling plate but no level compensation is needed.
Tube Fittings
Tube fittings are purchased separately to connect the spring loaded suspension assembly to the vacuum hose. They are available in barbed, push-in and compression connections, in straight, elbow and tee configurations, and accept tubes with standard inside and outside diameters.
Barbed and compression fittings are sized on tube inside diameter; push-in fittings on tube outside diameter – check which figure your tubing is specified by before ordering. ANVER PC series polyurethane tubing is recommended.
Additional Adapter Fittings
Thread note – the “G” thread is also known as BSPP, and is commonly used worldwide for vacuum applications.
Next size up – for cups with a G 1/8″ male thread, use the SLSA-2 series level compensator suspensions instead.
