Description
JB SERIES SINGLE-STAGE VACUUM PUMPS
The preferred air pumps for most applications – simple to install, low cost, no moving parts
Product Overview
The JB Series Pumps handle the majority of applications more economically than others, because they are designed without internal moving parts, making them extremely reliable.
Virtually maintenance-free, these pumps will work almost indefinitely by simply using a filter and dry, clean air to keep debris out.
Suitable for use with the JB Series Pumps are the JB Series Vacuum Generators, which achieve vacuum control from a manual or automatic control valve on the compressed air supply line (not included with the standard generator). Recommended where vacuum is required on an intermittent basis, or when a basic, practical, low cost design is wanted.
Clog resistant design – with no internal moving parts and a filter on the air supply, the JB tolerates the dust and debris that would stop a mechanical pump. That is the main reason it suits intermittent, dirty-environment duty.
Features & Available Options
Vacuum level
90% – 27 in. Hg as standard.
Vacuum gauge
Optional gauge on the dedicated gauge port.
Mufflers
JMU19, JMU25, JMU26 or FTS-0.500 depending on the nozzle size.
Vacuum port extension
Extends the vacuum port where plumbing requires it.
Vacuum switches
Digital, electronic, electro-mechanical or pneumatic.
Control valve and pilot
Pilot options: 24 V DC, pneumatic, or 110 V 60 Hz AC.
| Requirement | Specification |
|---|---|
| Compressed air | 50 micron, filtered, non-lubricated |
| Operating temperature | −10 to 80°C (14 to 176°F) |
| Optimum operating pressure | 5 bar (72.5 psi) |
| Valve material | Anodised aluminium, brass nozzle |
JB Series Vacuum Generator Specifications
All models reach 27 in. Hg (690 mm Hg). The -X suffix denotes BSPP (G) threads in place of NPT, with identical performance. The bare numeric part numbers (71600013-1, 71600016-1, 71600019-1) are larger-bodied versions of the same nozzle size, taking the JMU26 muffler.
Ordering Information
| How a JB part number is built | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| JB – series | 12 – nozzle size | H – vacuum level | G – accessories |
| JB Series | 12, 15, 20, 25 or 30 | H = 90% (standard) | D = digital switch · G = vacuum gauge · L = electronic switch · M = electro-mechanical switch · N = pneumatic switch |
Example – model JB12HG is a JB Series vacuum generator with nozzle size 12, standard (H) vacuum level, and an optional (G) vacuum gauge.
Explosion-proof note – pneumatic valves and switches are recommended for explosion-proof applications.
