This gripper is constructed to lift automobile gearboxes from a rolling conveyor belt for mounting into a vehicle. It is designed to grip the gearbox securely and to eliminate any need for physical lifting.
The gripper utilises the ‘balancing’ technique to equalise the weight of the gripper and the gearbox. This means that the gearbox is handled while in a state of weightlessness. There are no up/down levers to worry about, the gearbox is manoeuvred with your hands – manual manoeuvring for ultimate precision.
