Description

Q-VDF SERIES ADJUSTABLE VACUUM PUMPS

High vacuum flow to 120 SCFM and levels to 25 in. Hg – for porous materials in contaminated environments

Product Overview

ANVER Q-VDF Series adjustable vacuum pumps

The Q-VDF Series adjustable vacuum pumps use the venturi principle to move air or liquid from the vacuum port at one end of the pump to the output release at the other. The straight-through, compact design gives vacuum flow to 120 SCFM (3,400 l/min) and vacuum levels to 25 in. Hg (847 mbar).

Developed for extremely contaminated and dusty environments – foundry, refractory and bagging operations – Q-VDF pumps do not clog, lose suction, or require a vacuum filter. Virtually all contaminants pass straight through the unit without obstruction.

They are field adjustable, so vacuum flow and vacuum level can be regulated to the exact application. That maximises energy efficiency by consuming only the compressed air necessary to do the job.

Principles of operation – the variable performance is achieved by increasing the annular gap between the venturi nozzle and the diffuser. Rotating the diffuser section counter-clockwise opens the gap, letting more compressed air through and increasing both the vacuum flow and the vacuum level. The result is a vacuum pump that can be tuned to an application’s exact requirements.

Performance – Vacuum Flow vs Vacuum Level

Vacuum flow in SCFM at 80 psi. Note the curve runs the opposite way to a conventional venturi pump: flow rises with the vacuum level as the diffuser is opened, because each figure is the pump adjusted to that setting.

The model number is the barrel inside diameter in thousandths of an inch – Q-VDF150 is 0.150 in., Q-VDF750 is 0.750 in. That bore is what the material has to pass through, so size it to the largest contaminant, then check the flow figures.

Thread note – the “G” thread is also known as BSPP, and is commonly used worldwide for vacuum applications.

Contact FULL-SHARP with the material, the contamination level and your available compressed air, and we will confirm the Q-VDF model and the clamp and silencer.
