Lightweight electric vertical vacuum lifters are designed to take most of the effort out of lifting loads carried on edge. Protective features include:

  • VLS system – 9V battery powered vacuum leak sensor

AVL25M2 vertical lifter

The lightweight EVL electric and AVL air powered vertical lifters are built to take the effort out of lifting loads on edge. They are made with safety as the first priority and carry several protective features: the VLS 9V battery vacuum leak sensor with audible alarm; an attach/release slide valve with safety lock (EVL series only); and locking knobs on the adjustable pads, slide assemblies and crossarms where fitted.

EVL and AVL rated capacities are given at a maximum vacuum of 24 in. Hg [609.6 mm Hg] at sea level, with a 4:1 safety factor in vacuum holding unless otherwise specified.

Built with ergonomic handles and a rigid welded steel frame, the lifter stays easy and comfortable to operate across a wide range of loads and applications.

EVL & AVL Series Features

EVL – electric powered

  • EP1001 vacuum generator with vacuum gauge and master on/off switch
  • Power supply – 115V / 60Hz / 1ph / 5A; a 15 A service line is required
  • 4.3 SCFM [121.8 l/min] vacuum pump and motor, 1/2 HP, with thermal overload sensor and 100% duty cycle
  • VLS – vacuum leak sensor and alarm, 9V battery powered
  • Re-settable circuit breaker for the vacuum pump
  • Power cord with twist-lock plug, male and female receptacles
  • Check valve holds vacuum in the event of power loss

AVL – air powered

  • AL1001 vacuum generator with vacuum and pressure gauges, mounted on the housing
  • Air supply – 90 psi, clean and dry compressed air, 6.1 SCFM [172.7 l/min]
  • 3/8 NPT air inlet with lockable slide valve, 100% duty cycle
  • VLS – vacuum leak sensor and alarm, 9V battery powered
  • Pre-set regulator allows the lifter to run on higher pressure air lines
  • Single stage venturi with check valve, preventing loss of vacuum if the air supply fails
