The Basic baggage gripper with hook is an all-purpose lifting device, perfect for airports where lifting baggage needs to be done quickly and smoothly. The baggage gripper replaces manual lifting, which significantly reduces the risk of repetitive strain injuries and other work-related injuries. Baggage handlers are spared the uncomfortable working positions and awkward lifting that are common when handling baggage. The gripper is frequently used at both large and small airports, where baggage is lifted from open carts onto conveyor belts.

As soon as Basic touches down on a surface, it locks into place and is ready to lift the load. The user decides when and how fast to lift using the up and down buttons. The buttons provide proportional speed — the more you press, the faster Basic lifts or lowers. This proportionality, combined with the endless rotation of the load, makes it easy to position the load carefully and precisely.

The handle fits hands of all sizes, and you can switch from left-handed to right-handed use without making any adjustments. Thanks to its ergonomic design and intuitive controls, learning how to use the Basic is quick and easy. Users soon notice that the work goes both faster and easier compared with lifting on their own or with the help of coworkers. Basic is a reliable lifting device. If the preset vacuum level is not reached, Basic will not allow the lift to proceed. If the vacuum level drops during the lift, Basic slowly lowers itself to the floor. There are two options for releasing the load:
